Jon E. Sorensen

Mr. Sorensen grew up in Homestead, Florida. Upon his graduation from High School Mr. Sorensen served in the United States Navy for six years to include submarine duty on the USS San Francisco. During this time he received several awards and honors, including the Navy Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Submarine Warfare Insignia, Navy “E” Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Mr. Sorensen received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University and a Juris Doctorate and LLM in Taxation from the University of Miami.  

Mr. Sorensen has had extensive experience working in the insurance industry starting as a paralegal working for insurance defense staff counsel in 1999, he then worked as a litigation adjuster and eventually in house defense counsel starting in 2005. During this time Mr. Sorensen gained valuable insight into the way insurance companies handle and process claims. He has worked on thousands of insurance lawsuits during his time in the industry giving him the experience necessary to defeat insurance companies’ strategies for denying and/or underpaying valid insurance claims. Mr. Sorensen has been in private practice since 2016 handling all manner of personal injury claims including automobile accidents, slip and fall injury cases, traumatic brain injury (TBI) cases and spinal cord injury cases. Mr. Sorensen’s goal is to put his clients needs first and focus on achieving the maximum recovery possible.
