Jon E. Sorensen is the founding attorney of The Sorensen Law Firm, proudly serving clients throughout Florida and Texas. A native of Homestead, Florida, Mr. Sorensen began his career in service to our country, serving six years in the United States Navy with distinguished submarine duty aboard the USS San Francisco. His dedication and performance earned him multiple honors, including the Navy Achievement Medal, the Submarine Warfare Insignia, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Sorensen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida International University. He then pursued advanced legal studies at the University of Miami, earning both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation.

Mr. Sorensen began his legal career in 1999 as a paralegal for insurance defense counsel before rising through the ranks as a litigation adjuster and ultimately serving as in-house defense counsel for a major insurance carrier. This extensive experience on the inside of the insurance industry—spanning thousands of insurance litigation matters—gave him deep insight into how insurers evaluate, delay, deny, and underpay claims.

Since entering private practice in 2016, Mr. Sorensen has devoted his career to representing injury victims and policyholders. He handles a wide range of personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, slip and fall injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. His mission is simple: to put clients first and fight relentlessly to maximize their recovery.
